What To Expect

Mongolia is the perfect place to “get back to nature.” Our travelers get to sleep in a herder’s ger (traditional yurt), help round up the sheep, and fetch water from the nearby river. There are no locks and gates in the Mongolian steppes. Just a simple culture with tremendous hospitality.

After breakfast, we will drive from Ulaanbaatar to Kharkhorin, which takes around 5-6 hours. Upon arrival, visit the magnificent Erdene Zuu Monastery and explore the ancient ruins of the Mongol Empire's capital. Stay in a glamping site near Kharkhorin, with stunning views of the Orkhon River Valley. In the evening, take an afternoon walk around the historic sites and gather around a bonfire for storytelling.

Day 3: Horse Riding in Orkhon Valley

Prepare for a memorable horseback ride lasting 5-6 hours along the scenic Orkhon River Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Experience sweeping landscapes and the charm of traditional nomadic camps. Enjoy a night at a glamping station set up along the riverbank, surrounded by nature.

Rise early for a 5-6 hour ride to Tuvkhun Monastery, perched atop a mountain in a pine forest. The trail is steep but manageable, leading you to serene views and spiritual connections with resident monks.
