Arrival in Ulaanbaatar & Transfer to Terelj National Park
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, where you will be welcomed and transferred to Terelj National Park, a scenic retreat known for its rugged rock formations and lush valleys. Visit the Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue, the world’s largest equestrian statue, followed by an orientation and cultural introduction. Day 2
Khustai Nuruu National Park & Wild Takhi Horses
Travel to Khustai Nuruu National Park, home to Mongolia’s wild Przewalski’s horses (Takhi), once extinct in the wild but now thriving. Enjoy a scenic drive through the park, spotting wildlife and learning about Mongolia’s conservation efforts. Day 3
Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dunes (Mini Gobi)
Drive to Elsen Tasarkhai, a unique stretch of rolling sand dunes in the middle of Mongolia’s steppe, often called the Mini Gobi. Enjoy a camel ride across the dunes, take in the surreal scenery, and visit a nearby nomadic family to learn about their way of life.

Day 4
Orkhon Valley & Orkhon River
Continue your journey into the Orkhon Valley, a UNESCO-listed site that was once the heart of the Mongol Empire. Follow the Orkhon River, stopping at scenic viewpoints and historical sites. Spend the day experiencing nomadic culture, learning traditional herding techniques, and tasting homemade Mongolian dairy products. Optional horseback riding is available for those who want to explore the valley as the Mongols once did.

Day 5
Erdene Zuu Monastery & Kharkhorin
Travel to Kharkhorin, the legendary capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia’s oldest Buddhist monastery, built in the 16th century using the ruins of Genghis Khan’s city. Explore the Mongolian Empire Museum to learn about the history of Kharkhorin and its significance in the empire’s expansion.

Day 6
Return to Ulaanbaatar & Celebration Dinner
After breakfast, begin the scenic drive back to Ulaanbaatar, stopping for breaks and sightseeing along the way. Upon arrival, enjoy free time for shopping, relaxation, or an optional city tour. In the evening, gather for a farewell celebration dinner, featuring traditional Mongolian performances, including throat singing and the morin khuur (horsehead fiddle).
